Reason for recommendation: One of the best post-JE fics out there (and yes, I've read just about all of them). SunkenStandard has done a fantastic job portraying  the combination of Nine, Ten and Donna in the new Doctor. Her characterization of Rose and how her time in the alternate universe has changed her is excellent. The story has a wonderful balance of drama, angst, humor and romance and manages to do this without once straying into sappiness or over-the-top melodrama. It's currently at 24 chapters, but it's a fast and utterly enjoyable read, not to mention she updates very quickly!

Hey everyone, I have a question about the html used in the calendar section of my layout. I got the layout from this post. I asked the maker to help but they dont know how to fix it.

My question is, can someone give me the html code and tell me where to put it into the coding so in my layout it changes the color of the days that I update my journal? Right now it is only one color for every day. All of the html coding is in the link I posted.

SUMMARY: The Doctor and Rose, the end of the world (again), and dreams.
DISCLAIMER: If I owned any of these characters, I'd have already released a collectors edition of Until the End of the World on region 1 DVD. BBC, RTD, Wim Wenders, full props.
AN: This is a crossover fic between Doctor Who and the mid-90's film Until the End of the World. Knowing anything about the movie is not required (besides, I'm taking some liberties, and then the Doctor shows up and the timeline's all shot to hell anyway).

Also, I have clearly had an *awesomely* productive day at work, in that I wrote 3,000 words of a s4 AU where the Master survived LotTL and is travelling with the Doctor when he meets Donna in PiC.

Donna, it turned out, didn't stand for emotionally torturing the Doctor. And slapped the Master every time he tried.

But she also didn't stand for the Doctor locking him in the TARDIS and never letting him out, so there were some (small) advantages to her being there.

The problem was, she wasn't really a big fan of attempted escapes, attempted murders and attempted taking-over-planets. After several attempts at various nefarious schemes resulted in him being dragged back to the TARDIS by his ear (the Doctor following, hands in pockets, smirking like the smug git that he was); the Master decided to suspend his plots for universal domination until Donna wasn't around.

'I've fought in the Time War,' he complained at the Doctor, over a late night cup of coffee while Donna slept (thank heavens for small mercies). 'I took over her entire, miserable planet for a year. A year!'

'You've also shrunk yourself down to miniature size, worn the same velvet jacket for two hundred years straight, and turned yourself into a half Cheetah,' the Doctor reminded him. 'Don't pretend you're too dignified for being dragged back to the TARDIS by your ear.'

'You should have picked her up before the war,' muttered the Master darkly, stirring some more sugar into his coffee. 'Set her on the Dalek Emperor.'

Now back to writing my actual serious fic!

Transcript of a missing scene from Journey's End

( Babble in relation to fic. )

We've been running this a couple of weeks now, and we'd love for more people to join in.

It's basically a way of finding out what the most popular stories of the new series are, but with the twist of randomness that running it as a football competition provides!

So we started with a random draw (as seen in the actual football tournaments) involving all 45 new series stories, which gave us four groups of six and three groups of seven.

Everyone gets to choose two stories from each group, and the eventual winners and runner-ups of all seven will go forward to the finals - along with the two best runner-ups (if there is a tie there or even within the groups, ratings will be used as a decider). Then there'll be another draw to decide placement of the final 16 within the four groups for the round robin stage, and on we'll go.

The qualifiers run until 8th August, so there's still plenty of time to join in.

Our good friend Mr Tennant is playing in a lot more teams than his predecessor, but if you want to make sure they do well go here.

Hello everybody. I'm new. ;-)
My name is Arisha and I'm Russian. I'm absolutely new in Doctor Who's world. Here in Russia the show is just started with 9th Doctor. And you know what? Since first series I've become a BIG FAN! :-)
I tried to find something about Doctor at the Internet. And I was really surprised to know that it's sooooo long movie with soooo interesting history. So, I'm really interested in history of Doctor Who. And I want to ask you: Is it possible to find OLD series on DVD? Or maybe VHS? I saw some e-books at BBC web-site. Is it possible to find real books?
And...oh, by the way, I love comics very much. Comics about Doctor...is it really exist?
I hope, that my questions have not tired you. :-)
If not, I have one more question. *blushed*
Here in Russia we just saw "Rise of the Cybermen"(Series Two). Do you remember this episode? A lot of Cybermen hold Doctor and his companions. And they going to kill them. And that's the problem: tomorrow we're leaving for Spain and we'll miss next episode. My little brother is sooo worry about Doctor and Rose. Can you tell me how they survived? I'll tell it to my brother. :-)
